Wow this show was a hot mess back when it started up last year. Inconsistent, sloppy writing, basically treading water and not suffering from a identity crisis. But then came Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and everything changed. We finally got to see the show as a true tie-in to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with S.H.I.E.L.D falling apart from within, with Hydra at the spearhelm. This not only opened up the rest of phase 2 for the MCU, but set the tone and stage for the entire second season of AoS (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D acronym for here on out - takes too long to write every time). So after struggling for almost an entire season, Coulson and his team might finally have found their place on television. Let's dig in!

Before the Bat - Gotham Season 1 review
Going into this show, I did not know what to expect, even though the premise was clear. It's a show about detective James "Jim" Gordon and his rise in the ranks of the Gotham Police department. We already know we are not gonna see the Batman or any of the villains as we know them, so how was to keep an audience, who expects Batman? In this review I will go through my pros and cons of this first season of Gotham.

We are The Walking Dead - The Walking Dead Season 5 review
For the fifth time our favorite post-apocalyptic gang was back, and boy were they back in style! This season was in many ways a return to format for the show, which unfortunately had stagnated a bit with almost two entire seasons revoling around the life the gang had build for themselves in the prison. This season however, had more zombies, more action and a lot more frequent character deaths than we have seen previously. I will not stagnate though, so on with the review!

Popcorntroller snacks on: Why superheroes are in such high demand
It's a given fact these days, that superheroes dominate the viewing audience in movie theatres. With a wide range of different characters with strange powers, to engaging action scenes and new and exciting universes to explore, most superhero movies drives on all cylinders. But it hasn't always been like that. For the longest time superheroes belonged in comic books and occasionally on the small screen with cartoons catered to children. Today, I will give my take on why I feel superheroes have won such a prominent role in our current media world.

Still Alive - blog update
Greetings everybody - long time no see!
Unfortunately I have not been updating since October, due to the workload at my studies, which happened coincide with the holidays, another exam I had to do again etc. Suffice to say, I did not have the mental capacity to keep blogging multiple times a week.
Another issue was the fact, that the blog became less of a creative outline, and became more like a chore - I had to get my review out, which totally missed the point of this blog. Therefore I have decided to restructure what is going on this blog, to make it both consistent and diverse at the same time.
First off, I am not going to review series on an episode to episode basis. Instead I will be reviewing the season as a whole at the end of a season, and likewise give my predictions at the start of a new season. That way, I can just take notes during an episode and compile it into a more concise post.
This series format will not be as frequent of course, but will still break the pattern every once in a while.
Secondly, I will try to get at least 2 posts out every week. One being a news story and one being editorial in nature. That way I don't push off ideas for a post indefinitely, and still get something out to you guys. This does not limit me however, so if there is any news story worth sharing, I will be doing that as I see fit, but I will guarantee at least two posts every week.
All this comes into effect starting next week. Glad to be back in action again
